Valeria joined the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA) in November 2005, coming from General Electric in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As a Licensing and Examination Coordinator, Valeria enjoys the day-to-day interaction with our customers while providing optimum customer service. Valeria strives to ensure all of our customer's questions and concerns are handled in a timely and professional manner.

A native of Brazil, Valeria speaks 3 languages. Before joining the VBOA, Valeria served as the Special Assistant to the President of General Electric Consumer & Industrial South America and was previously a staff accountant for Compaq, South America.  Valeria has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Pernambuco and holds her MBA in Finance/Management from the University of Getulio Vargas.
