Mary joined the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA) in July 2001, becoming one of the first employees upon the VBOA gaining independent agency status.  Mary began her employment with the VBOA as a licensing specialist, and was promoted to Licensing & Examination Manager in 2006 where she now manages a team of three staff.  Mary played a key role in creating and organizing the VBOA’s Examination Administration Program when the VBOA made the decision to bring exam administration in-house in August 2006.

Mary came to the VBOA from Virginia’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations, where she served as a licensing specialist for the Board of Contractors.
