Regina Brayboy, MPA, MBA

Regina Brayboy serves as the Vice President of Administration and Financial Services for Virginia International Terminals, Inc. (VIT) which serves as the operating company for the Virginia Port Authority. Regina oversees financial services, administration and human resources for VIT. She is responsible for its financial plans, policies and reporting, its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, its budgetary controls, and procurement and risk management. In addition, she oversees the company’s staffing, compensation, benefits, and talent management programs. Prior to this role, Regina served as the Chief Operating Officer for WHRO, the public telecommunications organization serving Hampton Roads.
She was appointed by Governor Mark Warner (2004) and subsequently reappointed by Governor Tim Kaine (2008) to the Board of Accountancy for the Commonwealth of Virginia and also serves on the boards of SunTrust Bank, the Virginia Living Museum, Riverside Health System, and is Vice President of the North Atlantic Ports Association. She is a member of the Board of Advisors of the Luter School of Business, Christopher Newport University. She also served a three-year term as a public member of the Professional Ethics Executive Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Regina is a graduate of the College of William & Mary (Master of Business Administration), Old Dominion University (Master of Public Administration) and Christopher Newport University (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration). Regina completed the federal Presidential Management Intern Program (1997-1999), the CIVIC Leadership Institute Program (2003), and the certified planning commissioner program (2004). She has taught as an adjunct professor at Old Dominion University in the graduate public administration program. She was recognized in 2007 with a Women of Distinction award by the YWCA and as one of the top twenty-five women in business in Hampton Roads by Inside Business magazine. A native of the Northern Neck, Regina is married to Samuel Brayboy and is the proud owner of a wonderful Labrador retriever, Scarlett.
