Requesting Information from the VBOA

To transfer CPA Exam scores from Virginia (Exam candidates only):

To request a duplicate wall certificate:

  • Login to make a document request for a duplicate wall certificate.

To request a Letter of Good Standing (license verification):  The Letter of good standing includes CPA Exam Scores, confirmation of AICPA Ethics Exam, status of license with VBOA and any disciplinary action.

  • Login to make a request for a Letter of Good Standing (license verification) to be transferred to a board of accountancy in another state or jurisdiction. If the Letter of Good Standing (license verification) needs to be sent to anyone other than another board of accountancy (employer, professional organization, personal use, etc.) the request cannot be made online. For such a request, mail a written request with a check for $50 to the VBOA.

To transfer educational transcripts, experience and/or CPE documentation:

  • It is not the responsibility of the VBOA to maintain education, experience and CPE documentation for the licensee or applicant.

 

*Pursuant to § 54.1-116, Code of Virginia, all CPA License applicants must provide a social security number or control number issued by the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles.
