Approval for an Education Evaluation Firm?
For the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA) to consider a candidate’s degree or coursework earned at a non-accredited institution, a person must have the degree or coursework evaluated by an education evaluation firm approved by the VBOA.
If a firm is not currently approved by the VBOA as an education evaluation firm, the firm may submit a written request to the VBOA that includes the following:
- A written request for consideration to the VBOA;
- Background information on the firm, to include a list of current services provided; and
- Minimum of 5 business references (preferably other state boards of accountancy).
